Quality Control Inspector I

Inspection – QC  Denton, Texas


Pay Range $14.64 – $17.72
3rd shift hours are Sunday – Thursday 11pm – 7am

Position Overview:

Ability to train and learn Inspection of manufactured parts.  Work performed with constant supervision.

Skills:

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high-level of attention to detail.
  • Basic math & reasoning skills with the ability to comprehend production documents.
  • Basic knowledge of Manufacturing and/or Quality principles and practices. Must gain working knowledge of special measuring tools, including but not limited to Micrometers, Sunnen Gages, Comparators and indicators.
  • Fluently speak, read, and write English.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Train and become competent on the fundamentals of: Perform Pre-Processing inspection of manufactured parts (simple bushings).
  • Completion of all necessary paperwork including but not limited to; Receiving parts from Subcontractors, Job-Logs, Disposition of Scrap, etc.
  • Basic calibration verification of tools and equipment as required.
  • Read, understand and follow the router and certification paperwork for each job.
  • Basic understanding of reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints. Familiarization of all Quality and Safety standards, policies and procedures.     

Experience Requirements: 

  • Two years relative experience

Education / Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Working Conditions: 

  • Work is performed in a typical shop environment.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling,  lifting, transporting supplies or equipment, sitting or standing for extended periods of time at a desk using a computer and phone, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
