1st shift Heater Treater


This is a temp to hire position. Pay $11 hourly. "Heavy Lifting"

Once they are hired on their pay rate will increase to $12.50/hr.

During training their shift will start at 11am and once they are hired on they will need to come in by 7am. (Working 8hour shifts)

Position Overview: Responsible for handling the process of getting parts ready for heat treatment by Subcontractors.

Ensure heat treated parts, meet Customer specifications listed on the router.

Work performed with general supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential job responsibilities are italicized):
§ Prepare parts going to heat treatment; ensuring operations are complete prior to heat treatment, daily.
§ Prepare purchase order and arrange parts for transport or pick up, as needed.
§ Receive heat treated parts and verify conformance to Customer’s specifications, as needed.
§ Verify quantities received against the purchase order quantity, as needed.
§ Ensure certificates, documentation and additional requirements are met, as needed.
§ Update job status to maintain proper tracking of parts going to and from the Subcontractor.
§ Track the progress of parts ensuring all specifications are completed and delivery to Customer will be on time, daily.
§ Perform Hardness testing on parts ensuring they were heat treated to the correct condition, daily.
§ Inform team leader or supervisor of equipment or supply problems, immediately.
§ Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and routers, as needed.
§ Follow safe operating procedures when using all tools and equipment, daily.
§ Adhere to company Quality and Safety standards, policies and procedures at all times.
§ Maintain security and confidentiality of all files at all times.
§ Perform other incidental and related duties as assigned.

§ Understand the fundamentals of applications, concepts, practices, and procedures.
§ Knowledge of Aerospace Manufacturing practices, Metal Machining processes, and use of the Hardness scale.
§ Excellent math and reasoning skills with the ability to read and interpret complex documents.
§ Effectively communicate by written or verbal skills with subcontractor, customers, suppliers, and others across various organizational functions to resolve issues.
§ Fluently speak, read, and write English.
§ Solve problems and make decisions where there are clearly defined objectives and functional direction.
§ Intermediate computer skills using MS Office products.

Education / Licensing Requirements:
§ High school degree or equivalent
Experience Requirements:

§ Minimum of one year related manufacturing experience, necessary.


Working Conditions:
§ Work performed in a machine shop environment and wearing safety glasses is required.
§ Exposure to constant or intermittent noise.
§ Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather.
§ Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, transporting supplies or equipment, sitting or standing for extended periods of time at a desk using a computer & phone, & occasionally lifting & carrying items which may weigh up to 25 lbs. & occasionally up to 100 lbs.
§ Hearing and vision must be corrected within normal range.
